Hot dip galvanizing is one of the most effective methods to prevent atmospheric corrosion of steel products. It is widely used in construction, household appliances, automobile and other fields. The galvanized sheet can be divided into two types: zinc-flowers and zinc-free flowers according to the surface appearance. Generally, the higher the zinc layer is, the more expensive it is. Considering the market demand, the economic benefits of producing zinc-free flower products are greater.
There are two ways for the production line of antimony zinc bloom hot-dip galvanizing, one is to wash zinc, the other is to reduce antimony with steel strip.
1. Zinc washing
Is the use of a zinc pump will be pumped liquid zinc from zinc pot, until the zinc liquid level down to zinc pot induction heater, above the extraction liquid zinc ingot casting, and then to add do not contain zinc pot of antimony, zinc aluminum alloy ingot, zinc, zinc until liquid level back to the initial position, back and forth several times, to the antimony content in zinc liquid drop to around 0.005%, normal and zinc alloy ingot, no zinc products.
The advantage of zinc - washing method is that the zinc flower product conversion process is short. Its disadvantages are also more obvious: first, the safety hidden danger is large, the zinc liquid is drawn out by the zinc pump in the molten state, easy to cause zinc liquid splash, scald operators. Second, the extracted zinc ingot contains antimony, which cannot be normally used in the production of galvanized products, forming a dead stock of zinc ingot, resulting in a capital backlog. Third, the long-term high power heating zinc melting may cause the zinc pot heat sensor overload, damage the zinc pot heat sensor.
2. Antimony lowering method of strip steel
It refers to the zinc alloy ingot added only during the conversion of large zinc-plated products to zinc-free zinc-plated products.
Compared with the zinc washing method, this method has no safety hazard, no antimonial ingot, no increase of the load of the heat sensor of the zinc pot. The disadvantage is that the whole conversion process takes a long time, the number of steel coils produced is large, and the production plan is difficult to change. Need to pay attention to how to make the whole transformation process stock quantity, match the number of production line production, accurate forecasts for different zinc flower size production quantity and reduce zinc flowers uneven size of the drop size product transition zinc product quantity is the key and difficult point for this method.
Considering the safety of production and the load state of zinc pot, the antimony reduction method of strip steel is generally adopted to produce more zinc-free flower products.
